Just 8 minutes ago, a 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Pondaguitan, Davao Oriental, Davao, Philippines. The tremor was recorded after midnight on Sunday, December 14th, 2025, at 12:34 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 81. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.5 earthquake.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Pondaguitan (pop. 2,100) located 93 km from the epicenter, and Surup (pop. 2,100) 98 km away.
