Just 13 minutes ago, a 2.6-magnitude earthquake struck near Victorville, San Bernardino County, California, USA. The tremor was recorded late at night on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at 10:50 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 5.6 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS) which listed the quake at magnitude 2.6 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 2.6.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Victorville (pop. 122,200) located 3 miles from the epicenter, Adelanto (pop. 33,200) 6 miles away, and Hesperia (pop. 93,300) 7 miles away. In Apple Valley (pop. 72,200, 9 miles away), Highland (pop. 54,900, 29 miles away), San Bernardino (pop. 216,100, 29 miles away), Rialto (pop. 103,100, 29 miles away), and Fontana (pop. 212,700, 31 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
