KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The deadline to apply for FEMA Individual Assistance is December 22 for Missouri residents in Bollinger, Butler, Cape Girardeau, Carter, Cooper, Dunklin, Howell, Iron, Mississippi, New Madrid, Oregon, Ozark, Reynolds, Ripley, Scott, Shannon, Stoddard, Vernon, Washington, or Wayne counties affected by the March 30 – April 8 disaster.
If your home or personal property sustained damage that was not covered by insurance, FEMA may be able to provide money to help you pay for home repairs, a temporary place to live and essential personal property that was destroyed.
The fastest way to apply for Individual Assistance is at DisasterAssistance.gov. You may also apply by calling FEMA at 1-800-621-3362.

Read your letter from FEMA carefully.Be sure to stay in touch with FEMA if you have questions about your assistance.Provide contractor estimates or invoices for disaster repairs, including contractor contact information.Tell FEMA if you need assistance to help with rent.If you received rental assistance from FEMA and need more rental assistance while working toward your permanent housing plan, stay in touch with FEMA.
