A magnitude 3.0 earthquake near Naples, Campania, Italy, was reported 38 minutes ago by Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), considered the main national agency that monitors seismic activity in Italy. The earthquake occurred at a very shallow depth of 2.38 km beneath the epicenter early evening on Saturday, November 22nd, 2025, at 6:55 pm local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.

In Bagnoli (pop. 23,300) located 1 km from the epicenter, the quake should have been felt as light shaking.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Posillipo (pop. 22,900) located 3 km from the epicenter, Fuorigrotta (pop. 76,500) 4 km away, Soccavo (pop. 45,300) 4 km away, Pianura (pop. 57,800) 5 km away, Pozzuoli (pop. 81,200) 6 km away, and Quarto (pop. 37,700) 7 km away.
