Worldwide earthquakes above magnitude 3 during the past 24 hours on 2 Sep 2025

Summary: 3 quakes 5.0+, 46 quakes 4.0+, 122 quakes 3.0+, 270 quakes 2.0+ (441 total)
The most significant earthquake activity in the past 24 hours was the magnitude 6.0 quake in eastern Afghanistan, which struck lat Sunday evening at 11:47 PM local time. The shallow depth of the earthquake (about 8-10 km) contributed to its devastating impact.
