Etna (Sicily, Italy): The recently formed eruptive fissure vent that opened on 20 August afternoon has already been detected from space by the Sentinel-2. Currently, there are two lava arms on the southern flank of Etna.

Ibu (Halmahera, Indonesia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 7000 ft (2100 m) altitude or flight level 070 .
