* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE…Ward Lake, including the Ward Lake Recreational Area. * WHEN…Until 345 PM AKDT Thursday. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas near Ward Lake. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 308 AM AKDT, the dam operator reported lake levels near 252.7 ft. Between 6 and 8 inches of rain has fallen over the last two days. The heavy rain has diminished but some flooding is likely still ongoing near Ward Lake. – For Lake Connell Dam: At 9:20pm the stage was 252.7 feet. Flood Stage is 252 feet. Impacts: At 251 feet: Water will begin to approach low lying areas of trails

Areas of fog have developed across inland Coastal Plains and eastern Brush Country this morning. Expect visibilities generally 1 mile or less with a few locations seeing visibilities 1/4 mile or less at times. Use caution if traveling as visibility may change rapidly in a short amount of time. Use low beam headlights and leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road.
