While some spots have already seen accumulating snow this year, many locations across the Interior will see their first accumulating snow late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. A front will bring moisture into cold air over the Interior providing widespread light snow. Accumulations will be light in the Fairbanks Bowl and Tanana Valley with 0.5 to 1.5 inches expected. Everywhere else should expect 1 to 3 inches of snow with the exception of the White Mountains and AK Range where up to 3 to 5 inches is possible.

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford and Randolph. * WHEN…Until 330 AM EDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1232 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated moderate to heavy rain due to thunderstorms.
