For the High Rip Current Risk, through Monday afternoon. * IMPACTS…Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of central California, including the following counties, Fresno and Madera. * WHEN…Until 500 PM PDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 156 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.2 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in Garnet Burn Scar. Up to 0.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Garnet Burn Scar is the most likely place to experience minor flooding. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include the Garnet Fire Burn Scar. –
