At 528 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Fort Barnwell, or 13 miles south of Ayden, moving southeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… New Bern, James City, Trent Woods, River Bend, Vanceboro, Askins, Fort Barnwell, Jasper, Tuscarora, Rhems, Olympia, Ernul, Fairfield Harbour, Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, Bridgeton, Dover, Cove City, and Gardnerville.
