Just 7 minutes ago, a 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck near Manado, Kota Manado, Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded early morning on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 6:44 am local time, at an intermediate to considerable depth of 178. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Laikit, Laikit II (Dimembe) (pop. 8,000) located 23 km from the epicenter, Bitung (pop. 225,100) 28 km away, Bitung (pop. 137,400) 29 km away, Manado (pop. 451,900) 32 km away, Tondano (pop. 33,300) 45 km away, and Tomohon (pop. 27,600) 49 km away.
