Job Description

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Research Assistant to support ongoing research in the biomechanics of the brain. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, neuroscientists, and clinicians to investigate the mechanical properties of brain tissue, traumatic brain injury (TBI) mechanisms, and related neurobiological processes.

Key Responsibilities: 

Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as rheometers, microscopes, and mechanical testing devices 

Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data using software such as MATLAB, Python, or R 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Master’s degree in biomedical engineering,
