Heavy downpours, with rainfall rates of one to one and a half inches per hour, will impact the Huntington tri-state area during the evening rush. The rain may cause ponding of water on roads, poor drainage and low lying areas, and make hydroplaning possible, especially where water ponds or runs across roadways. Viaducts in downtown Huntington may flood. Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Move to higher ground.
