For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE…Coastal Colleton and Charleston Counties. * WHEN…For the Coastal Flood Advisory, until 8 AM EDT this morning. For the High Rip Current Risk, through this evening. * IMPACTS…This could result in some roads becoming impassable. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…High tide will occur around 5:55 AM today at Charleston. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours

Mostly clear skies, light winds and lingering low-level moisture have helped areas of valley fog to develop and become dense early this morning. This fog will continue to expand through the pre- dawn hours but likely remain densest in the valleys. Visibilities will be below a quarter of a mile at times in the thickest of the fog. Be sure to slow down and use your low beam headlights when you encounter any fog.
