At 414 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Port Orange, moving southeast at 10 mph. Additional storms should develop southward along the inland moving sea breeze boundary. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Port Orange, New Smyrna Beach, Samsula-Spruce Creek, Spruce Creek, and Glencoe.

At 112 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 18 miles south of Avenal, or 27 miles east of Paso Robles, moving southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD…Half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Kern and southwestern Kings Counties.
