Fog has developed and is most prevalent in valley locations. This fog has become dense in some areas, reducing visibilities to less than one quarter mile and in some locations near zero. The fog will persist past sunrise, but should lift and dissipate by the 9 AM to 10 AM EDT timeframe, leading to improved visibilities. If traveling this morning, slow down, allow plenty of distance between vehicles, and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Dry conditions and breezy winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts of 20 mph are forecast for this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values of 20 to 30 percent are also expected. Together, these conditions could lead to the rapid spread of fires. Check burning restrictions and fire danger before burning.
