Dense fog has formed in areas that have seen clear skies, light winds, and were already damp from rainfall yesterday. Conditions are expected to begin improving over the next few hours as high level cloud cover works in from the west and diurnal warming begins. At 510 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles northwest of Gail, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of northern Borden County.
