* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of North Mississippi, including the following counties, DeSoto and Tate. * WHEN…Until 830 PM CDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 521 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Arkabutla, Phillipp, Frees Corners and Robinson

At 620 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Plainfield, moving east at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Elizabeth, Bayonne, Plainfield, Linden, Todt Hill, Huguenot, The Verrazano Narrows Bridge, Port Richmond, Tottenville, Clark, Tompkinsville, Oakwood, Annadale, Westfield, and Rahway.
