At 1053 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Charleston, or 12 miles south of Decatur, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… Athens, Benton, Etowah, Charleston, Englewood, Tellico Plains, Calhoun, Riceville, Hillsview, and Bullet Creek.
