At 144 PM EDT, an area of snow showers was reported over Plattsburgh, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD…Winds 25 mph or greater, and visibility less than a mile. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Low visibility may pose a hazard to motorists. Locations impacted include… Franklin, Wagner Point, Sloop Island, Shelburne Falls, Sheldon Junction, Jay, Champlain, Hazen Point, Ransoms Bay, Sunset Island, Hen Island, Kellogg Island, Allens Bay In Clinton County, Juniper Island, Cloak Island, Marble Island, Minnetoska Point, Westford, Treadwell Bay, and Colchester. This includes the following highways… Interstate 87 between mile markers 124 and 175. Interstate 89 between mile markers 79 and 129.

Another round of snow will develop late this morning across the eastern Kenai Peninsula. The snow may be heavy at times with temperatures holding around 32 degrees. Snow is expected to change to rain by mid afternoon for Whittier and by this evening for Portage and eastern Turnagain Arm, but not before several additional inches of snow accumulation. Gusty easterly winds will develop by late this afternoon or early evening allowing temperatures to climb to near 40 degrees for Whittier and Portage with snow levels rising to around 1,000 ft. Precipitation may stay all snow at the top of Turnagain Pass. If it does, expect a total of 5 to 10
