An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas County and Okanogan County until further notice, due to current and expected wildfire smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) levels are expected to be unhealthy in many areas. When air quality is unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include… The Redland, Richmond West, Country Walk, West Kendall, Intersection Krome And Kendall Drive, Zoo Miami, The Crossings, Goulds, The Hammocks, Princeton, Inlikita, South Miami Heights, Three Lakes, and Kendall West.

* WHAT…Dangerous rip currents and large breaking waves in the surf zone. * WHERE…The beaches from Duck to Cape Lookout. * WHEN…Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS…Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Dangerous shore break can throw a swimmer or surfer head first into the bottom causing neck and back injuries. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The most likely time for strong rip currents to occur is a couple hours either side of low tide, which will occur around 3 PM.
