Position Summary:
The Newark College of Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications and nominations for the position of Professor and Chair of the Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) Department.

We are seeking candidates at the rank of Full Professor with a demonstrated record of scholarship, strategic leadership, and mentorship.

Essential Functions:
– Lead the development and advancing of a compelling vision for the MIE department, aligned with the strategic plan of the university.
– Coordinate and lead the educational activities of the department, including curriculum development, effective and efficient curriculum delivery, and educational innovation.
– Coordinate and lead the development of the department’s research agenda, joint efforts to secure intramural and extramural research support, and improvements of the research infrastructure.
– Coordinate and lead recruiting of students
