Impacted residents are encouraged to take advantage of this in-person assistance while it is available, if their home or personal property sustained damage not covered by insurance from the May 16 tornado. Other ways to stay in touch with FEMA after September 25 include visiting DisasterAssistance.gov, calling 1-800-621-3362 and using the FEMA app.
FEMA may be able to provide money to help pay for home repairs, a temporary place to live and essential personal property that was destroyed. Impacted residents can stay in touch to ask for financial assistance for home repairs and rent, as well as other needs not covered by insurance.
