The University of Kansas (KU) Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering (CEAE) seeks an outstanding individual for a tenured or tenure-track position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the interdisciplinary theme of energy. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the development of academic and research programs in architectural engineering and to the research community.

This search is focused on those candidates exploring cutting edge efforts under the interdisciplinary theme of energy, including the following: integrated building or district energy systems, building-to-grid integrations, grid-interactive buildings, distributed energy resource management, building energy resilience, building energy efficiency and decarbonization, environmentally-sustainable buildings, and/or renewable energy sources such as solar, geothermal, and wind power for buildings or communities, grid reliability and energy

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst is hiring a tenure-track assistant professor in Artificial Intelligence Systems. We seek candidates in the broad area of AI systems, including but not limited to GPUs, FPGAs, custom accelerators, protecting model IP, hardware-enforced safeguards against misuse or adversarial inputs, trusted execution, securing supply chains for AI, robustness and explainability, safe and equitable human-in-the-loop decision systems, and other relevant topics in computer engineering. The position is part of a broader expansion in AI engineering in the college. Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) – persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty member’s tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice.  These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.
