At 608 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 37 miles northwest of Fruita, or 45 miles northwest of Grand Junction, moving north at 60 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Rio Blanco and southeastern Uintah Counties. This includes Colorado 139 between mile markers 61 and 65.
