Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Orlando, Altamonte Springs, Ocoee, Winter Garden, and Winter Park.

At 525 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 24 miles north of Plateau, or 25 miles north of Van Horn, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of northwestern Culberson County.
