At 230 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong heavy rain producing thunderstorms along a line extending from just north of Canon City to 7 miles southeast of Waugh Mountain. Movement was south at 10 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph, torrential rainfall, and brief penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Florence, Texas Creek, Royal Gorge, Cotopaxi, Canon City, and Hillside.
