At 617 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Brunswick, or 10 miles south of Lawrenceville, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This strong thunderstorm will be near… Radium around 640 AM EDT. Emporia around 645 AM EDT. Purdy around 650 AM EDT. Other locations impacted by this storm include Ante, Brink, Bufford Crossroads, Triplet, Lanes Corner, Pleasant Shade, Fields Crossroads, White Plains, Valentines, and Emporia Reservoir.

Total snow accumulations between 5 and 15 inches. * WHERE…Southern Mountains, primarily above 9000 feet. * WHEN…Until 6 AM MDT Tuesday. * IMPACTS…Travel could be difficult at times along SR-12 for elevations above 9,000 feet during the nighttime hours as temperatures become cold enough for accumulating snowfall. Significant impacts to travel are not anticipated during the daylight hours. Any outdoor recreationists should expect periods of moderate to heavy snowfall in the high elevations (above 9,000ft) on Sunday and Monday afternoon.
