A dense fog bank is moving into at least the eastern half of Alger County this morning. Visibilities within the fog bank are expected to be a quarter mile or less, with the latest observation from Newberry showing visibility near zero. Be sure to take it slow and to have your low-beam headlights on if traveling on the roads this morning, especially east of Munising.

Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Dangerous flows over low-water crossings. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 601 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area.
