Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Quartzsite and Kofa Wildlife Refuge. This includes AZ Route 95 near mile marker 102.

Significant 6.3 quake hits near Nabire, Nabire Regency, Central Papua, IndonesiaA shallow magnitude 6.3 earthquake was reported early morning near Nabire, Nabire Regency, Central Papua, Indonesia.
According to the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the quake hit on Friday, September 19th, 2025, at 3:19 am local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 6.3 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should have been widely felt by almost everyone in the area of the epicenter. It might have caused light to moderate damage.
Moderate shaking probably occurred in Nabire (pop. 43,900) located 40 km
