The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) in Cambridge, Massachusetts seeks candidates for faculty positions starting July 1, 2026, or on a mutually agreed date thereafter. Faculty search in Modeling in Environmental Systems.

The Department of Civil, Environmental and Geo- Engineering at the University of Minnesota is seeking applications for a faculty position in the broad area of Modeling in Environmental Systems. The position is primarily intended for applicants at the Assistant Professor level; however, more experienced, exceptional applicants can be considered. All areas related to systems modeling, decision support, stochastic methods, and computational modeling with applications to environmental or water resources engineering will be considered, including life cycle assessment and technoeconomic analysis, system optimization, computational fluid dynamics in geophysical flows, artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches.

Virginia Tech – Assistant/Associate Professor, Operations Research

The Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at Virginia Tech invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, effective August 2026. We seek outstanding candidates in Operations Research with strong methodological and theoretical skills in OR, particularly in nonlinear programming and applied probability theory, with applications in areas including but not limited to: artificial intelligence, machine learning, supply chain management, finance, healthcare, energy, and/or sustainability. We are seeking candidates motivated to contribute to a collegial, interdisciplinary community with a strong tradition of both fundamental and applied research as well as innovative teaching.

The Robotics Department in the College of Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor invites applications for two faculty that will join our mission to accelerate advances in robotics for the benefit of society.
