Industrial Robotics

Work description

The objectives of this work plan are essentially focused on designing collaborative robotics systems, centered on the human operator, capable of assisting them in performing multiple complex tasks, with the ability to evolve and adapt to new objects/products over time. To this end, the objectives are:

Study computer vision solutions applicable to industrial robots. Explore artificial intelligence tools, including Deep Learning and Generative AI. Implement and test the different selected methods, with a view to their application. Design modular software that allows a robotic manipulator to perform tasks such as handling, inspection, and/or (dis)assembly of products, enabling the robot to generalize its behavior to new products. Develop quick configuration interfaces so that non-specialized operators can

Work description

Identify the methodologies, reference architectures and prototypes currently in use within the concept of data spaces. Deployment of operational tests with several data space reference implementations available and available data apps, particularly in EDC’s reference implementation. Design of a customizable data plane for processing of several data classes. Explore deployment mechanisms and options to fully automate the deployment and management of the data space components, including Kubernetes, Ansible or other. Write a report and scientific paper with the results of the work done in the context of this grant.

Work description

Review the current state of the onnx-flow tool, the ONNX format, and mapping tools for CGRA. Implement new transformations that expose explicit scalar computation and reduce the complexity of composite nodes (e.g., MatMul, Conv, ReduceSum), with a focus on merging, removing redundant loops and coalescing dimensions. Create realistic examples of transformed ONNX models, and validate the mappability of the generated graphs with existing mapping tools. Collaboration in the writing of a scientific article to disseminate the results.

Academic Qualifications

Degree or enrollment in a master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

Minimum profile required

Programming experience (ideally JS/TS). Fluency in English (written and
