The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Instruction or Assistant Instructor in the areas of Environmental and Water Resource Engineering. The selected candidate for the Assistant Professor of Instruction position is expected to have an earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field. Candidates for the Assistant Instructor position must have a master’s degree, 5 years of professional experience, a Professional Engineering (PE) license and demonstration of effective teaching experience. Candidates must be qualified to teach core undergraduate courses that support the BS degrees in both Civil Engineering (BSCE) and Environmental Engineering (BSEV), such as Environmental Systems Engineering, Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Basic Fluid Mechanics, Hydraulics, and Hydraulics Laboratory.
