Columbia Engineering invites applications for an open rank faculty position in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, starting July 1, 2026. Appointments will be made at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (without tenure), tenured Associate Professor, or tenured Professor rank, depending on the applicant’s qualifications. The position is open to exceptional applicants in all areas of operations research and management science. We welcome candidates with research interests in the foundations of optimization and probability, including their intersections with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. Candidates with strong methodological training and research interests in application-driven areas such as healthcare, energy, public sector OR, sustainability, networks, transportation, supply chains, service platforms, and finance are especially encouraged to apply.

TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS IN MECHANICAL AND AEROSPACE ENGINEERING

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions. The department is seeking candidates that complement our current capabilities in mechanics of materials, advanced manufacturing, automation and controls, fluid dynamics and reacting flows, or aerodynamics. The Interfacial Fluids Lab (IFLab) is seeking applications for highly motivated PhD students to conduct research in fluid dynamics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Baylor University (BU).

Applicants are expected to have a strong foundation in fundamental fluid mechanics and optics background is helpful, but not required. A strong math background and communication skills is also required.

The appointment includes a competitive stipend and full tuition coverage. Outstanding candidates are invited to submit a CV, and copies of relevant papers, the names and e-mail addresses of at least three references.
