The Haskell & Irene Lemon Construction Science (CNS) Division at the University of Oklahoma’s (OU) Gibbs College of Architecture (GCA) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor 9-month position, beginning in August 2026. There is the potential for a January 2026 start for candidates who may be interested. Based in Norman, a lively college town within the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, which was recently ranked the “No. 1 Best Big City to Live In” by U.S. News & World Report, the Construction Science Division seeks faculty to help shape the future of construction education and practice. The Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (https://cse.umn.edu/cems) at the University of Minnesota seeks to fill a full-time faculty position at the Assistant Professor (tenure-track) level. Exceptional candidates in all areas will be considered.
Outstanding candidates with a Ph.D. in any area related to chemical engineering and materials science will be considered, including biology, chemistry, physics, and other related engineering disciplines. Candidates should have an outstanding academic and research record and a commitment to teaching in a highly interdisciplinary department and towards advancing the mission and excellence of the institution.
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out a vigorous program of original research at a world-class level, advise a diverse group of graduate students, teach a broad range of undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science (CEMS), and participate in Departmental and University governance.
