We are seeking a highly motivated and talented postdoctoral research associate to join our dynamic team in the field of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis and reduced-order modeling (ROM) for a USDA-sponsored project on thermal food processing. The initial appointment is for one year with the possibility of extensions contingent on the availability of funds and research performance.

Responsibilities:

Develop CFD models of food drying and conduct numerical simulations using commercial CFD software packages. Develop and implement novel reduced-order modeling techniques to replace CFD simulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including food scientists and engineers, to validate the numerical models. Publish research findings in high-quality journals and present results at national and international conferences. Assist with developing grant proposals and applications. Assist with mentoring graduate and undergraduate students.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering and Science at the Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a Visiting Instructor position, beginning in August 2025. This is a one-year, full-time, 9-month, non-tenure-track appointment.

 

We are seeking a teaching-focused individual to provide in-person instruction to students in the Biomedical Engineering (BME) program—one of two programs within the department. The BME program offers a rigorous foundation in engineering principles applied to the medical and biological sciences, preparing students for careers in healthcare innovation, biotechnology, and medical device development.

The International Research Training Group (IGK 2495) “Energy Conversion Systems: From Materials to Devices” at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg offers

11 doctoral researcher positions for projects related to photo-electro-mechanical energy harvesting systems, including material synthesis, characterization, device integration, and material simulation.

We are seeking highly motivated doctoral researchers with a M.Sc., or equivalent, in materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, physics, mathematics, or electrical engineering. Ideal candidates have demonstrated excellence through their academic record and timely completion of B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies, in addition to having established interest and experience in the scientific area related to the IGK2495. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English are required.
