A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with the ability to demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and service. Seven (7) years of lecturing experience at under and post-graduate levels and/or relevant industry experience or an equivalent combination of pertinent professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written). Proven competence in curriculum development, management, and mentorship skills, sourcing research or project funding from third-party sources, and managing research projects. Ability to create high-quality course materials and to teach in at least three (3) of the following areas at both under and post-graduate levels: Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Maintenance Engineering, Mechanics of Materials, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Wind and Ocean Engineering, Participatory Mapping and GIS and Energy Efficiency Technology.
