A Flood Assistance Center will open Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 at the Tribal Administration Building, 12554 BIA Hwy 711, Agency Village, South Dakota, 57262. Enrolled tribal members with uninsured damage to their home, disaster-related emergency needs, or property loss from the June flooding may apply for assistance at the Flood Assistance Center Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration will be available to explain disaster assistance programs, help people complete the application for federal assistance, and get information on additional resources including low-interest disaster loans. The type of assistance individuals may be eligible for is based on their damages and individual circumstances.
Enrolled tribal members who have homeowners, renters, or flood insurance should file a claim before applying for FEMA assistance.
