ABOUT THE POSITION:
Job Description
The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering and Engineering Management (ISEEM) at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position with an anticipated start date of August 2026. Candidates with exceptional qualifications in teaching, research, and service can be considered for higher appointments. Duties include research, teaching, and service with a focus on interdisciplinary research supported by external funding, incorporating student researchers. We are looking for candidates with a strong background in applying mathematical and scientific problem-solving methods to broad areas of industrial engineering. The desired areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, quality engineering, continuous improvement, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence/machine learning, robotics, application of digital twins, simulation, operations management and optimization, ergonomics, and human factors.
