Thailand’s Earthquake Observation Division (TMD) reported a magnitude 4.5 quake in Thailand near Chiang Mai, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai Province, 31 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early afternoon on Monday, June 2nd, 2025, at 2:07 pm local time at a very shallow depth of 1. km. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
A second report was later issued by the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake, which listed it as a magnitude 4.5 earthquake as well.
