A very cold upper level Arctic low will be dropping south Thursday through the weekend. This will bring a much colder airmass to the area with snow levels slowly dropping to around 2000 feet across the Interior by Sunday night. Abundant moisture from a low in the Gulf of Alaska will bring rain and snow showers, with accumulating snow likely near Coldfoot and across summits of the Dalton Highway, Ray Mountains, and White Mountains. SVRMAF The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Warning for… Southeastern Brewster County in southwestern Texas… * Until 615 PM CDT. * At 526 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 16 miles north of Boquillas Canyon, or 23 miles east of Panther Junction, moving north at 25 mph. HAZARD…60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Brewster County.
