At 1028 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Whiterocks, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Vernal, Whiterocks, Fort Duchesne, Naples, Ballard, Maeser, and Randlett. This includes the following highways… U.S. Highway 40 in Utah between mile markers 117 and 154. U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 353 and 380.

IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Hayden, Christmas, and San Carlos Reservoir. This includes the following highways… AZ Route 77 between mile markers 135 and 141, near mile marker 143, and between mile markers 146 and 167. AZ Route 177 between mile markers 137 and 138.
