Dense fog continues this morning across parts of northern lower and eastern upper Michigan, including Interstate 75 north of Vanderbilt. Visibilities within dense fog will be reduced to near zero. Slow improvement to visibility is expected midday into this afternoon. Be sure to take it slow and to have your low-beam headlights on if traveling on the roads this morning.

* WHAT…Minor saltwater flooding. * WHERE…Upper Florida Keys. * WHEN…Through late tonight. * IMPACTS…Minor saltwater flooding of low elevation streets and lots is likely. Some storm drains will overflow, and some seawalls and docks will be overtopped. Boaters can expect less clearance under fixed bridges. Motorists should remember that persistent puddles around the times of high tide are almost certain to contain a mix of saltwater.

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…Saint Croix. * WHEN…Until 1145 AM AST. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 941 AM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… Grove Place, Frederiksted South, Christiansted and Frederiksted.
