* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…Lares, Las Marias and Maricao. * WHEN…Until 330 PM AST. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1225 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Up to 1 inch of rain has fallen. – Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. At 1223 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Greeley, or 15 miles west of Montague, moving northeast at 35 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Lava, Blooming Grove, Twin Lakes, Eldred, Barryville, Glen Spey, Rowland, Lords Valley, Mongaup Valley Wildlife Area, and Greeley.
