At 519 AM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17 miles northeast of Eagle Mtn, or 22 miles north of Desert Center, moving northwest at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. This includes CA Route 177 between mile markers 18 and 27.

At 513 AM PDT, National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking a line of thunderstorms with frequent lightning along a line extending from near Grayson to 29 miles south of Avenal. Movement was north at 40 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. Frequent cloud- to-ground lightning with little rainfall. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Fresno, Merced, Madera, Hanford, Atwater, Los Banos, Corcoran, Lemoore, Selma, Chowchilla, Avenal, Kerman, Coalinga, Earlimart, Livingston, Mendota, Firebaugh, Lanare, Madera Acres, and Hilmar-Irwin.
