At 1012 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm just southwest of Mackay Reservoir, moving northeast at 45 MPH. HAZARD…Wind gusts in excess of 45 mph, pea size hail, and lightning. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Mackay, Mackay Reservoir, Copper Basin Airport, and Mt Borah. This includes portions of Highway 93 near Mackay.

* WHAT…Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE…A portion of southern Utah, including the following county, Washington. * WHEN…Until 115 AM MDT. * IMPACTS…Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS… – At 1010 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.5 inches of rain have fallen with more rainfall expected. – Some locations that will experience flooding include… St George, Washington, Sand Hollow State Park and Bloomington.

FFWSLC The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for… The Forsyth burn scar in… Central Washington County in southwestern Utah… * Until 1215 AM MDT. * At 1005 PM MDT, Washington County Emergency Management and Dispatch reported significant flooding and debris flows in Pine Valley that originated from the Forsyth Burn Scar. The USGS gage on the Santa Clara near Pine Valley has reported a rise from 1.5 feet to just over 9 feet. Between 0.75 and 1.25 inches of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts between 0.25 and 0.50 inches are possible over the next 60 minutes in the warned area as
