At 629 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles southeast of Haswell, or 28 miles northwest of Lamar, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD…Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Kiowa County.

At 628 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 21 miles east of Eureka to 8 miles northeast of Moyie Springs. Movement was southeast at 15 mph. HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph, heavy rain and frequent lightning. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Heavy rain main limit visibility and cause ponding on roadways. Locations impacted include… Trego, Yaak, Stryker, Radnor, and Fortine. This includes the following highways… Highway 2 between mile markers 0 and 3. Highway 93 N between mile markers 148 and 173.
