This smoke will continue to impact air quality across this region through the afternoon before finally leaving the state around 4 p.m.

At 1024 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Freeland, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD…Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Bay City, Auburn, Freeland, Kawkawlin, Essexville, Laporte, Hemlock, Bay City State Recreation Area, and Shields.
