At 720 PM EST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Saluda County Airport, or 11 miles west of Batesburg-Leesville, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Batesburg-Leesville, Ridge Spring, Saluda County Airport, Gilbert, Summit, Monetta, Ward, Fredonia, Murray, Camp Kinard, Hibernia, Samaria Fire Station, and Kneece. This includes Interstate 20 in South Carolina between mile markers 39 and 47.
