At 218 PM CST, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Orange Grove, or 11 miles southwest of Mathis, moving northwest at 15 mph. HAZARD…Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include… Mathis, Orange Grove, Lake City, San Patricio, Midway, Lagarto, Alfred-South La Paloma, Bluntzer, Westdale, Sandia, Alfred, Lakeside, Lake Corpus Christi, and Pernitas Point. This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 652 and 662.
